Some cool wood combinations are shown below.  these are just some examples of  possible combinations.  There are virtually limitless variations.

Wenge (dark Wood) and Swamp Ash (lighter wood)

this combo has proven to be a remarkable sounding duo.  The big, long open grain of these two woods make for a bright but resonant sound that cuts through without being harsh.  The shallow 4" coupled with the full 14" diameter keeps the 'pop' of a piccolo with the bottom end of a 14".

We use 4mm Black oxide Stainless Steel hex bolts for our hardware mounting.  This makes for a very solid connection of the lugs to the shell and has a nice 'one-off' look.  Speaking of one off, these snares are all, every one unique.  No two are ever the same.  We hand make these shells one at a time and choose specific thicknesses, shell wedge widths, bearing edge angles and depths, etc to make each one 'one-of-a-kind'
