We offer 13" and 14" custom had made snare drums. We use a very unusual method to manufacture our shells. What's missing? PLIES. That's right, no plies. Our shells are single thickness hardwoods.
I am doming these among other current models:
The Duke:
made from Padauk, a member of the Rosewood family. It boasts
unmatched bright orange red colors with grain ranging from Purple to Brown
and Black. approx. $300
All Heart:
made from Purple heart, another African hardwood with, you guessed it,
Purple color. Not just purplish, we mean PURPLE. The grain is
subtle but the color is striking. approx $275
Zebra:
Made from Zebrawood, a light tan and black striped hardwood. It's
contrasting grain and tight grain make for a beautiful and tight sounding
instrument. approx. $300
Maple:
made from Southerm Maple or Hard rock Maple, this light colored hardwood is the
industry standard...but with our NO PLY technique, Maple is finally allowed
to sound the way is was meant to. approx $200
Mah Hog Annie:
Made from Honduran Mahogany, it is a medium brown with mild grain but
astounding sound. approx $280
